  • Movin' Out

Lately,Ive been trying to move out, with a friend of mine and her daughter but I'm worried because she always seems in between jobs all the time and yesterday as i was saying bye to them she commented on the fact that she had to get gas money from her dad.  Is this a person that I want to count on for rent?  But at the same time I feel torn, I want to be there for her because she is my best friend and I want to get closer to Natalie and help Melissa raise her but at the same time I feel like I need a more dependable person to be my roommate. If she needs to call her dad to fill up her car how is she ever going to help pay for rent?

  • What are your thoughts on assisted suicide? Is it in any way acceptable?

It really depends, I believe that there are two sides to it. If a person is in so much emotional pain that they cant bear to live any longer than it is their right as an individual to kill themselves.  Although if they are physically incapable of doing so themselves should we help them? It's really hard to say. If i was so upset and i felt that i needed to kill myself and there was noone to help me fufill the action i would feel so trapped.  Soo trapped and helpless if anything it would make me more depressed.
Also what if a person was in a coma for YEARS!!! im not sure that the hospital regulations are but i dont think they can keep a comatose person forever. And then if they do "pull the plug" there is this feeling in the back of your mind thinking, what if they were going to wake up any day now. Its a hard question to judge which is probably why its under debate.  So the question on if it is acceptable or not is pretty much inbetween.

  • Gun control By Aaron Cooper

    Gun Control
    By: Mr. Aaron "Coop" Cooper

My mother used to tell me to calm down.....
come home to find her face palmed down....
How dare he put his filthy hands on you now....
so this 12 year old boy is ready bust a few rounds....
wont be happy until hes six feet under Gods ground....
see you bleeding and my chest begins to pound....
then i hear stories about his girl across town....
I get tired of it so I took it upon myself...
God ain't doing nothin so I decide to help .....
I grab that niggas gun hidin on the closet top shelf....
seen it on TV so a let it sit snug in my belt.....
I walk to the corner askin his buddies where he at....
they give me shit and slap off my baseball cap...
"what you gonna do? go home and eat because ya fat?"...
Not knowing I'm angry and strapped....
but i had one thing on my mind and it wasn't that...
so reach in my pocket and pull out my bus pass....
hearing his friends call her nothin but ghetto trash....
just no brains and all ass....
before they said somethin else I blinked and the gun blast....
just a loud pop and a flash....
I thought i grew wings as I ran so fast...
now I'm in a mind state of fear....
went from "duck hunt" to youngest murderer of the year....
I cant go home and I'm sure the cops are near....
its was the hood so it'll be awhile before they even get here...
So i hide in the dugout of my schools baseball field....
just staring at the killin machine a wield...
thinkin of that no good nigga and my anger builds....
probably slappin my mother up for a home cooked meal....
just the thought of it seemed way to real....
I get the nerve so I walk home with my head held up high....
slow walk because freedom is soon to be bye bye....
no way out of this one so no white lie....
I continue towards house then and I start to cry....
just a plan so i can get close enough to kill this guy....
I turn the corner and see the red and blue lights....
which was common on these warm summer nights....
but they were in front of my house but somethin didn't seem right....
I drop to my knees as my heart begins to beat....
this emotion I'm feelin seeps in organs deep....
I see him handcuffed by the police across the street....
my world just became grim and I'm about to reap...
I rise to my feet as they put him the back seat...
I run right pass the cops and before they could speak....
Bang!!!!Now my mom can finally sleep in peace...
No more hospital visits and gettin beat....
but then I look over and see a stretcher with a bloody sheet...
I can tell it was a woman by the heels upon her feet....
then I was hit by a bullet as I yelled MOMMY!

    Murphy's Photography Laws

    • You are not Ansel Adams
    • Neither are you Herb Ritz
    • Automatic Cameras - Aren't
    • Auto Focus - won't
    • If you can't remember, you left the film at home
    • No photo assignment remains unchanged after the first day of shooting
    • When in doubt, motor out
    • If a photo shoot goes too smoothly, then the lab will lose the film
    • If it's stupid but it works, it isn't stupid
    • Success occurs when no one is looking, failure occurs when the Client is watching
    • The most critical roll of film is fogged
    • If you forgot, then you did not rewind the film
    • Photo Assistants are essential, they give photographers someone to yell at
    • The one item (batteries, film, and ect.) you need is always in short supply
    • Interchangeable parts aren't
    • Long life batteries only last for a couple of rolls
    • Weather never cooperates
    • Everything always works in your home, everything always fails on location
    • For every action, there is an equal and opposite criticism
    • The newest and least experienced photographer will usually win the Pulitzer
    • Every instruction given to a lab, which can be misunderstood, will be
    • There is always a way, and it usually doesn't work
    • Never tell the Photo Editor you have nothing to do
    • Things which must be shipped together as a set, aren't
    • No photojournalist is well dressed
    • No well dressed photographer is a photojournalist
    • Professional photographers are predictable; the world is full of dangerous amateurs
    • The nature shots invariably happen on two occasions:
    • -when animals are ready.
    • -when you're not.
    • Same rule just substitute children
    • Client Intelligence is a contradiction
    • There is no such thing as a perfect shoot
    • The important things are always simple
    • The simple things are always hard
    • Flashes will fail as soon as you need them
    • A clean (and dry) camera is a magnet for dust, mud and moisture
    • Photo experience is something you never get until just after you need it
    • The self-importance of a client is inversely proportional to his position in the hierarchy (as is his deviousness and mischievousness)
    • The lens that falls is always the most expensive.
    • when you drop a lens cap, the inside part always lands face down in the mud.
    • Bugs always want to land on the mirror during a lens swap.
    • Your batteries will always go dead or you will need to put in a new film canister at the least opportune moment.
    • Your batteries will always go dead during a long exposure (so with the shutter open).
    • When you shoot the night away and never have to stop. Your film did not roll on to the take up reel.
    • Sent by Les Benton
    • Camera are designed with a built-in sensor, that senses the anticipation to develop the film.
    • When the level of anticipation is highest, this sensor causes the back to flip open exposing the film.

    • Lenses are attracted back to their source - hard rocks.
    • Corollary:
    • The more expensive the lens, the greater the attraction.
    • No matter how long you've had a convention for marking film holders, you will forget it - when exposing the once-in-a-lifetime shot.
    • Safelights - aren't.
    • The greater a photographer's excitement, the greater its chance of fogging film, scratching prints, and deleting files.
    • The success of an assignment is inversely proportional to the product of its importance and the number of people watching.
    • Strobes only explode when lots of people are watching.
    • Corollary:
    • Strobes only work when there is nobody else to see.
